a tall, thin good friend with messy curly hair once told me;
when it comes to things or work that has to be accomplished,
the work is split into two parts.
half the work is realizing that its there and waiting for you,
the other half is the effort and determination to complete it.
those words have always been my motivation and drive, being a girl who is known for her huge procrastinating behaviour and lazy effort. he spoke those words to me in the early months of last year, and it was my motivation for PMR. it definitely paid off. i thank you for ever mentioning it to me. i guess i should applying them for my current exams.
i was once close to that friend of mine.
but because of something i did
as usual, our friendship was torn apart.
we talked even less and eventually, we stopped talking.
i don't know where he is in the world right now.
i don't know how he's coping with studies.
i don't see him around anymore.
God i pray that he's doing okay. and that what ever happened two years ago, was something i shouldn'tve done. at least, not in that brutal way. i was immature. we all were when we were fourteen. i hope deep inside, he really did forgive me although i didn't verbally apologize.

Dear mom,
I know its so corny to like, write you a cheesy card which is not even that pretty, i hope you don't expect much from me. i've been to caught up with school life and curricular activities, i barely have any time, even for myself, really. so writing a card should be the easiest way to do something for you today and i'll try my best to not make it as sappy and emo as possible. heh :D
well,
its Mother's Day today. so ummm, Happy Mother's Day! haha.. i hope today, you feel the prettiest and most gorgeous. i hope its a good hair day for you today. i hope you don't think too much of your wrinkles because you still look as beautiful with them anyway. my mother is very the beautiful okay? if not, how can i be as hot as i am today riiight ;D
i hope i don't annoy you as much as i usually do today like normal days. ( i'll be too busy studying anyway ) i hope today i don't drop Mcvities biscuit crumbs all over the furniture and make your blood boil. i hope today i close back the cap of my toothpaste and not leave my Oxy Face Wash and shampoo bottles lying around the toilet and pluck your last nerve. i hope today i don't use the computer until one a.m and make get up and yell at me to go to bed. basically, i hope i am a good kid today. i don't want more white hair to grow from your already, white-hair-growing scalp :)
do know that although i don't show it, i love you with all my heart. as you know, i am a very fussy person. however, you are absolutely perfect in my eyes and i cannot find a better mother anywhere else on this earth. unlike most teenagers at this age, i actually don't mind when you nag me and things like that. yeah i do get annoyed with your high-pitched nagging and scolding, but in the back of my mind it proves that i have a mother who cares and loves me. and i know you do.
also, do know that whenever i make you angry, i don't intend or mean to. i really try not to step on you as i don't like it when your bubble is burst. ( ohmygod who does xD )
i know that now, dad's gone... life just got a few hundred times harder for you as you have to pay the house bills, tuition bills and be the provider for the family, and that includes pohpoh. i don't understand.... how such energy and strength exists in a person. in a blink of an eye, i'll soon be married and i'm going to be a mother as well, with my own children. i pray everyday to be just like you when i am a mother someday. therefore, you remain as my idol and inspiration every single day i live.
you are the fuel that keeps my life running. <3
have a blast, mom.
your daughter loves you more than she loves her Dutch Lady's Yogurt Drinks.
big love,
JuYi
